Guy Dessapt Exhibition January 26th — March 9th, 2024
Wada Garou Tokyo Lab. is pleased to present a solo exhibition by Guy Dessapt.
He is a "modern impressionist" loved around the world. Using acrylic, which were unavailable in the time of Monet and Renoir, his works are like a "jewel box" filled with sparkling street lamps and bright lights. The glamorous Paris of his paintings, where viewers can hear the bustle of the city and the voices of its inhabitants, is imbued with a sense of nostalgia and invites viewers to experience the Paris of their dreams. This exhibition features the works of Guy Dessapt, one of the best landscape painters representing contemporary France, who captures beautiful moments in Paris, the city of art that everyone longs to visit.
